Pre-Conference - Additional cost $160
The landscape of stress impact and injury in the outdoor industry continues to evolve in the face of climate, political, technology and global stressors. This course offers an overview of 4 tools utilized in the outdoor industry to name, normalize and mitigate depletion and traumatic stress as it occurs. This course will review new innovations and established tools for organizations to identify organizational stress, impact, empower staff to support individual recognition and mitigation of stress, and equip staff and leadership to respond to major incident and internal stressors frequently occuring in the outdoor industry. This course contains an overview of tools for newcomers to the stress injury conversation in the outdoors, or those looking to deepen their understanding or apply the tools to their own organizations or staff trainings.
